/Here’s everything I’ve talked about on Instastories, purchased, pinned, and coveted this week. I’m so glad my online shopping addiction can now benefit others.
(1) Weekly Calendar Magnet - I use this on our fridge to use for meals, but you could easily use it for weekly activities. I put our dinners on the days of the week and on the side list options for breakfasts and lunches so I don’t think “we don’t have anything to eat” and then go get Taco Bell. Would make a great gift for teachers at end of school or Mother’s Day!
(2) Two-Tier Lazy Susan - I love a lazy Susan. I use them in the kitchen for vitamins and coffee supplies, in the pantry for oils and vinegars, and now under my sink in the bathroom. Lazy Susan’s aren’t all that lazy at all. They give you easy access (may I suggest a name change to the Easy Susan?) while taking up less square footage. No more reaching way in the back of your cabinet, just give old Suz a spin and you have what you need. I especially love these two-tiered ones because you can take advantage of vertical space. I fit all my tall hairsprays and dry shampoos on top and smaller face and hair items on the lower level. I like that the levels have a pretty tall rim so stuff doesn’t fall all over when you spin it. Best part of this whole thing for you? I bought this exact brand at The Container Store (aka Mecca), but found the same brand in a TWO PACK for only $4 more on Amazon. You’re welcome. I’m out here doing the hard work for y’all.
(3) Lemon-Ginger Tea - If you watch my Instastories, you know this is my go-to on the daily. I make essentially cold-brew tea. I fill up my big yeti cup with ice water and then add in one of these tea bags. It slowly infuses my water throughout the day with lemon flavor (and just a hint of ginger). Lemon and ginger tea is a natural detoxing tea so this will make you, as my father would say, “pee like a race horse”. Great for getting rid of water bloat. It also just helps me drink more water because it has some flavor.
(4) Viviscal Hair Supplements - The postpartum hair loss and regrowth is a real problem. As in, I have two inch hair “horns” protruding out of the temples of my head. Super cute if you’re going for a “just electrocuted” look. I was lamenting to my hair stylist (Hey Britt! Love you!) about these baby bangs and she told me to go for the big guns and get these supplements. You have to take them twice a day for three months before you see a real change, but it’s been one month and I kind of feel like my bangs are growing again. I’ve tried biotin and collagen and castor oil and all the things and they all don’t do much for me. I’ll let you know the results of these in two more months, but for now if Brittany says it works, I trust her.
(5) Boy’s Rugby Shirt - We’re at that early part of spring here in Dallas where you still need a long sleeve shirt and jacket in the morning but by afternoon you can ditch the jacket. This rugby shirt is nice and thick so we can skip the jacket all together. I love this brand from Amazon a lot. Good quality and true to size. Washes well. I also love this nautical sweater from the same brand, but I think sweater season is def on the out for us here (at least I hope). Deacon has out grown most of his long sleeve shirts for the season so I snagged this rugby shirt for him to last us til April and then use it again come fall. Comes in several other color combos.
(6) High-rise Straight Leg White Jeans - I tried these on for you last week when my Zara order came in. I love them and I love the price ($35!). When I did the try on I said I might exchange for the next size up (I ordered my true size), but when I went and tried on the larger size in store it swallowed me. My true to size fit me, it was just a little snug. I wore them around for a few hours though and they do stretch out. Either way, I think they’re super cute and on-trend without paying $100+ for jeans. I did however get the same cut in a light denim wash (“blue” is style color) and did size up in those for a roomier “boyfriend” look. (Disclaimer: please excuse the very very bad shoes in the pic on their website. Imagine a sleek slide or a white sneaker instead).
(7) Woven Clutch - Just in time for your spring break plans, this woven clutch is the perfect accessory for warm nights out. I just ordered it for several summer weddings we have, but really plan on using it anytime now til fall when I leave my house and don’t need a giant bag full of kid stuff. I like that it’s a good neutral and not too small. I ordered the khaki version, but it comes in a few different woven textures and shapes. The real reason I like it though? It’s $15!!
(8) Starlight Eyeshadow Palette - I used this palette last weekend when we had a black tie function. I love the two just barely shimmery pinks. I used the matte gray in my crease and lash line and patted the glitter across my lids. So fun and easy! I use the lighter pink almost daily to add a little bit of brightness to the inner corners of my eyes. Would make a great gift for teens but also works for 34 year old ladies like moi.
(9) Scalloped Hair Bow - Big news, Emilia has graduated to the next size hair bow! This is what girl-mom life is all about. But really though, I’ve always loved these bows and they actually stay in! I got this sweet scalloped one to go with her spring wardrobe. You know what they say - the bigger the bow, the crazier the mom.
(10) Girls Floral Jumpsuit - Speaking of Emmie’s spring wardrobe, just snagged this darling jumpsuit from Amazon. Its still a little too cool for bubbles and dresses without tights so a long jumpsuit is perfect. Love the sweet bows at the shoulders. Comes in sizes 12m to 12 big kid! It also comes in gingham and seersucker prints and believe me, it took all my self control to not order those as well.
(11) Scalloped Sandals - A near perfect dupe for the Chloe scalloped sandal, but for…wait for it… $30. I love the hint of metallic on the footbed heel making them feel “dressy”. The perfect sandal to wear with all these flowy midi dresses I’ll be wearing all summer. And at a price point where I wont care if the baby drops raspberries on them. I ordered the nude, but they also have a few other colorways including a two-tone that look even more like the Chloe version. I’ll be sure to show y’all on stories so you can see them up close. They are good.
(12) Branch Basics Starter Kit + Oxygen Boost - I am so pumped to start using this all-natural, safe set of cleaning products. I just made up all my bottles last night. All of the products are made from one concentrate, you just use different amounts of concentrate for each surface you clean (counters, bathroom, laundry, etc.). After learning more about the dangers of chemicals and toxins in my beauty products, I was eager to eliminate what I could from our cleaning products, especially with how much my kids are on the floor (Emilia straight up eats off of the floor). I also love that it saves on packaging as they send you the spray bottles to use and you just keep mixing the concentrate in them. Way less plastic waste! I’ll let you all know how well they work - I have several friends who swear by them so I’m confident they’ll be up the task of my mess family. (Psst use this link to get $10 off!)
That’s it for this week! Anyone find a new favorite?
