Hello! I have been deliquent on making sure my instagram and LTK content also shows up here on my site, but now that my kids are back in school, I’m pledging to do better.

A topic in several of my group chats of late is, “What are we buying for fall?” I am here to help after culling and scrolling some of my favorite retailers. Below are several items from my fall wish list and my Finds & Favs page (under the “shop” category up top) has been updated with over 150 more fall essentials.

DENIM SKIRTS

One of the biggest trends I’ve seen for fall is the reemergence of the denim skirt. From long maxis to short minis, they are everywhere. (Flashbacks to my college days of tiny jean skirt, KU shirt, and ugg boots.) Pair the jean skirts of this season with really any top you would wear with jeans. From flowy blouses to casual tees, jean skirts are an easy trend to incorporate.

NEUTRAL STRIPES

In my opinion, stripes are always in style, but they are truly everywhere this fall. Done in both neutrals and bolder black and whites, a striped sweater or sweater dress will get loads of use for you this season.

WIDE LEG PANTS

Hallelujah that skinny jeans are still on the back burner for now. I find wide-leg denim to be much more flattering on almost every body type as long as you have a more fitted top with them. They bring balance to wider hips and allow the waist to be the focus. I LOVE this trend for denim, cordoroy, and trousers and will be wearing with this simple white tee and a cardigan for another layer.

EASY LAYERS

Cardigan sweaters, tweed jackets, and vests are all majorly “in” and make updating your wardrobe simple! Just add one of these pieces with your jeans or jean skirt and you are good to go. Keep in mind, you don’t always actually need to put on the final layer. A jacket draped, or a cardigan tied over the shoulders can often make an outfit feel complete.

HOME UPDATES

Don’t forget to update your home for fall! Adding some natural textures and warm hues to accessories can help your space feel cozy without throwing a bunch of pumpkins all over the place. Sometimes a new tablecloth is all you need to set the vibe in your home.
