Easter Baskets

Easter Baskets 3.png

Easter is almost here (April 12th)! Since we won’t be going to church or having any big egg hunts around town, I’m doing it up a little bigger for my kids. In addition to Reese’s eggs (the best Easter candy hands down), they always get a book, a new toothbrush, and something for the beach/pool. This go around, I am throwing in a few little extras to help our days at home. I rounded up several cute ideas for your little bunnies. They are all available for in-store pick up or should arrive in time for April 12th. Hop to it! (Yes, that’s a fully-intended Easter pun. I can’t even blame self isolation on that. I would have done it pre-quarantine).

BUNNIES

Sing & Play Bunny - Emilia has the elephant version of this and it is legit the only toy that entertains her for more than two minutes.

Wooden Bunny Plate - In Em’s Easter basket. Love the suction cup feature so she can’t chuck it on the ground.

Woven Bunny Purse - If I was a little girl, I’d tote this around all day. Darling!

Bunny Pinata - Adorable and takes up some time for kids.

Bunny Paper Plates - Why do dishes on Easter? These would be fun all spring long.

Yoga Bunnies (downward dog / arching ) - My mom gave me these and I always get comments on them. Not overly Eastery and I think they’re cute and funny.

BOOKS

The Easter Story Egg - We loved the Christmas version of this game/activity to remember the reason for the season. The Easter version has you discover a new egg and story everyday from Palm Sunday to Resurrection Sunday.

Charlotte the Scientist Finds A Cure - My friend and book lover @NoseInHerBook (go follow her!) recommended this for kids especially in this quarantine season. I immediately bought it for Deacon’s Easter basket. This empowering story about a smart, confident bunny encourages kids to be persistent and believe in themselves.

Spot’s First Easter - Ok so not technically Emilia’s first Easter, but girlfriend lives for a lift the flap book. We love all of the Spot books!

TOYS

Dimpl Toy - Hands down best toy to have in your purse. Well, back when we went places. One of the first toys that captivated Emilia.

Wooden Cube Robot - Got this for Deac during the Nordstrom sale (still on sale btw!). Looks to be good for fine motor, like a big fidget toy!

Chalk Paint Rollers - A new take on chalk. Would certainly make all of these stained glass chalk art projects a little easier.

Bath Crayons - I’ll do anything to get Deacon to hold a writing utensil, including letting him draw all over the bathroom walls with these.

Bubble Machine - I feel like we buy one each year because we inevitability leave them out in the rain. This one is cheap and has so far worked wonders for outside entertainment.

BEACH / POOL

Sunscreen (Spray / Stick) - I use Easter baskets as a time to stock up on things I’d already buy (toothbrushes, socks, etc.) so I always throw in our new stock of sunscreen for the season. This is hands down the best, safest sunscreen. Only thing I’ll put on my kids (did you know sunscreen can be absorbed into the bloodstream?!). Spray for bodies. Stick for faces. Easy, safe, and doesn’t irritate the skin.

Goggles - SO random to have goggles from PBK, but these are the only goggles Deacon likes. They don’t pinch his eyes and I like the easy fasten back.

Seersucker Bow - One of our favorite bow brands in a cute seer sucker. Comes in pink, white, and green to!

Flower Sunglasses - Were these not made for Sis? What every diva girl needs for the (backyard) pool this summer.

Girls Rash Guard - Can’t wait to see Em in this. Love that it’s SPF 40 so I can wage a smaller sunscreen battle. Bonus points for a snap bottom. Changing diapers under a wet swimsuit is a layer of hell.

Boys Swim Trunks - A boy has got to match his sis! Seersucker + sailboats make my heart happy.

Rainbow Slides - I ordered Emilia some natives in the Nordstrom Sale but it’s hard to shove her puffy baby foot into them. Loving these as another option for pool play.

I hope you found a few add-to-cart items to add to your Easter baskets. It will definitely be a different Easter this year, but I think the message of the Easter story resonates now more than ever. Can’t wait for a family fun day with my little bunnies!
